It is a great idea - not so much a victory lap but opportunities to roll out his policies for the first 100 days.
Or an opportunity to discuss priorities with those who put him in office.... and in so doing, he differentiates himself from all those 'politicians' who say one thing on the campaign trail and something totally different once they are elected into office.
I remember how the media seriously and reverentially, covered travels of both Bill Clinton and Obama before each became president.
The media were reverential in covering Bill Clinton’s trip to Jefferson’s home at Monticello, when he was on his way to Washington to become president.
And the media noted Obama’s travel by train, which supposedly paralleled the trip taken by Lincoln from Illinois to Washington, right before Obama was sworn in.
So the media should give us glowing coverage of the travels around the country by President-elect Trump as he prepares to take on the job of president.
That is, if the media behave in the same manner towards this president-elect as they have towards others.
