First thing I thought too...
No, DC isn’t 2nd to NY—it is about 20th to NY!
I will visit DC once national reciprocity passes.
Liberals always, always, run cities in such a way as to run it into the ground. May be it's time for a change.
Culture? French or Greek?
And that was EXACTLY the problem. The denizens of DC were more than happy with the status quo - caring little that their policies were destroying middle America - the great unwashed.
“What? They have no bread? Let them eat cake...”
“D.C. is going to take a really hard hit, culturally, socially, everything. We were really finding our footing; we werent second to New York, said Jazmine Johnson, a graphic designer who said she now planned to move to New York.”
Looks like DC is a self-draining swamp! Just as the Illegals will now start doing what the lieberals said they would NOT do, namely self-deport.
Trump needs to tell businesses that run on illegal Hispanic labor, that they will have a finite period of time to recast their workforces so as to minimize disruption, but after that they will face prosecution.
The demographics
“Crash the housing market there”
Yes, while DC itself and MD are worthless $hitholes that won’t change, the northern part of VA is fertile ground. In two years, VA could swing back to RED.
“It is 1980 all over again.... “
And as much as I loved RR, Trump is a whole lot more tenacious than he was.
The only vibration ever felt in D.C. was from the buzzing of flies hovering over the pile of excrement that is the city. The only thing Obama brought to D.C. society was his blackness and divisiveness.
Yay! She’s moving to New York, so that’s draining the swamp. All good!
I am from the Midwest and spent most of my military career in the Midwest. I have also been stationed in California and here in the Washington DC area and retired here. Due to my duties and jobs after retirement I have had to hobnob with CEOs and some Congress critters.
I would rather go back to Kansas or North Dakota, drive out to a small rural farm town and have breakfast or lunch with the great folks there than attend some expensive lunch/dinner here in the DC area and suffer those fools that think they are better than real Americans because they run run a company or are elected officials.
Good! Trump is not a drinker so although he is no wet blanket/holier than thou type, it is good that the tone will be less partying as in Obama’s-rapper-spouting-disgusting-lyrics-fueled-partying-it-up bashes.
The focus and tone of Washington under Trump will be will to get some actual work done towards solving problems.
If the partiers don’t like it - too bad.
They really mean, drain the cash they’ve looted from the rest of us.
