Thank you! Let’s give this guy a chance to live up to his words and cooperate with the Trump administration. I believe this will be one of Trump’s crowning achievements, eliminating the legislative/executive gridlock and getting some real reforms done.

This is where the spirit of unity could bite us in the ass.

Reagan had Tip O’Neil and Trump has Paul Ryan.

Every time I see Ryan I think of Trumps “snake” poem.

No, it’s the new Members nominating a candidate for the House vote in January when the House convenes.

Speaking of rules... there’s a Republican meeting of the new Members tomorrow to set the rules to be offered for the House in January.

His days aren’t numbered with Prince Rebus Chief of Staff.

They aren’t moving that direction, if they were, Rebus wouldn’t be Chief of Staff.

That’s how it seems to me.

So much for the “he doesn’t have 218 votes” threads.

Don’t PANIC, Kids! It’s JUST a nomination. Voting isn’t until January under the NEW Congress. Hopefully SOMEONE will challenge him between now and then. I’m sure Team Trump is working on that.

SO...call your Congress Critters between now and then: DAILY! REMIND them that, ‘We The People’ have SPOKEN and that there’s a mid-term election in 2018, and we will SPEAK AGAIN if need be.

We do NOT want RINO ‘Rat Ryan as Speaker.

He was seconded by Trump's liason man to the House; Chris Collins.

It appears Trump has made a decision not to fight Ryan at this point. Hopefully Ryan delivers. TBD.

But I hope the house members make it clear to Ryan, he’s walking on thin ice.

He will discover the power of the purse in January, count on it. Mitch already said before Trump was elected that they have ways to control an out of control President. Who knew?

No surprise here. No one even challenged him for the job. The first step is for a conservative to step up and frum up support for the position.

No one wants to be Speaker is how I read this.

I think Trump has already fought and beaten Ryan, Ryan is dependent on Trump.
Anyway all will be made clear in the Lame Duck.

Smart move by Trump.

Ryan now owes his job, and the fundraising that comes with it, to DJT.

Very smart move

New House members don’t get sworn in until the new House Session is called and assembled.

By which time the old guards of both parties have done their back room deals to retain control of their respective leaderships.

That’s the reality of it.

Unless the new crop of reps is an exceedingly large one and unites to overcome the entrenched returned incumbents, the Old House wins.

Recall when David Brats surprise victory lead to hopes of real change in the House leadership, but only resulted Boehner being deposed, with the core cadre of GOP-e still guiding the pack and producing that comic opera of the reluctant princess Ryan making ludicrous demands to which, with much theatrical weeping and trembling along with cries of “oh, woe is us...” the script was followed and the reins handed over to the petulant princess who continues to haunt the halls.

Ryan is a snake!!

That’s exactly what Lou Dobbs called him, on his program, last night. Lou said Trump’s rally poem, The Snake, described Lyin Paul Ryan (my words), perfectly.

Lou and you are 100% right, about LPR.
