Exactly what I picked up from it. Justifying the sin of pride via a dramatic and heroic fight for good (one’s own version of good, one’s own will, followed by praise of the illusion of self) is as old as man. Oops, sorry, I meant as old as folks. Jesus died for the sins of folks :-)
