Sen. Hatch has been a reliable vote on the right side, sometimes, and a bit of an “issue” sometimes. He should give it up, sit on the porch and look at the view with his great-grandkids.

Whatever positive contributions Hatch made were years ago. He personifies what’s wrong with the Congress, particularly the Senate. And I would take issue with you about him being a “reliable vote.” His continued “tenure” in the Senate is selfish. The idea that he would run again, is a travesty. Hew doesn’t have some “devine right” to stay in the Senate.
IIRC, it was Senator Hatch who proudly announced on the steps of the Capitol on 9-12-2001 that ‘we are tracking Bin Laden’s satellite phone.’
