What happened when Jimmy Carter gave a blanket pardon to Vietnam era draft evaders?? Did that clear them or did they still have legal issues after that?

He pardoned them after the war and the draft were over, so the crimes were all in the past. These illegals are in a continual state of crime as long as they remain in the country. A pardon would be useless here, because they’d be right back in trouble one second later.

Unlike illegal aliens, who violate continuously throughout every day.

Carter did that in 1977. Considering the draft ended in '73, that would clear them. The potential legal difference with illegal aliens is that they would be cleared up until now, but they're still here illegally. They can't get in trouble for illegally crossing the border, but they can get in trouble for being in the country illegally.
