This is the moment where hate speech laws become a greater threat to democracy and freedom of speech than hate speech itself.
In France, Muslim terrorists are never Muslim terrorists, but "lunatics," "maniacs" and "youths".
To attack freedom of the press and freedom of speech is not anti-hate speech; it is submission.
By following these recommendations, the British government would place Muslim organizations in a kind of monopoly position: they would become the only source of information about themselves. It is the perfect totalitarian information order.

Orwell understood. When you control speech, you control the thoughts of the weak minded masses. Works for a while.
In other words, don’t report the truth.
Well dang noI wonder why they wouldn’t want that! How’s a white man to get his body blowed up if he’s been forewarned, right?
Britain is out of the EU so the EU can’t “order” Britain to do anything.
I guess the other question is, Is this a true report or as someone posted #FakeNews?
You overestimate their intelligence...
Apparently the recommendation arose from the the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI).
“ECRI regrets that a way has not been found to establish an independent press regulator and that, as a result, certain tabloids continue to publish offensive material, as indicated above. ECRI urges the media to take stock of the importance of responsible reporting, not only to avoid perpetuating prejudice and biased information, but also to avoid harm to targeted persons or vulnerable groups. ECRI considers that, in light of the fact that Muslims are increasingly under the spotlight as a result of recent ISIS-related terrorist acts around the world, fuelling prejudice against Muslims shows a reckless disregard, not only for the dignity of the great majority of Muslims in the United Kingdom, but also for their safety. In this context, it draws attention to a recent study by Teeside University suggesting that where the media stress the Muslim background of perpetrators of terrorist acts, and devote significant coverage to it, the violent backlash against Muslims is likely to be greater than in cases where the perpetrators motivation is downplayed or rejected in favour of alternative explanations.”
Never in the history of human conflict have so FEW spat upon and wasted the sacrifices of SO MANY.
For “THIS” the young AMERICANS threw themselves onto the beaches of Normandy and headed to Germany.
Obama went to Europe to apologize to the EUROPEANS for the exitance of the United States.
Trump should go to the American cemetery above those beaches and apologize to those who never came home.
British press to EU: Go to ... Brussels.
President Obama Blames the Internet for the Rise of Trump Technology Needs More Control
Obama said some really stupid things, but Merkel took the price with this:
[Merkel] compared the internet to the invention of the printing press, citing the consequences it had on industrialized countries.
It took a while until societies learned how to find the right kind of policies to contain this and to manage and steer this, she said.
Well, well....
It includes among its members John Bolton and Alan Dershowitz, as well as some very wealthy heiresses.
People need to rise up or be consumed by the savages protected by the government they elected
Sooner or later you know what will hit the fan and when it does it isnt going to be funny or pretty. There is little doubt in my mind that there arent very many people who relish the thought of going back a few centuries just to be in compliance with that screwy religion.
Trump has nothing to apologize for. Send the Nancy Pelolsi crowd and Obama’s bunch along with Hillery’s crime family and MAKE THEM apologize!
They’re not out yet, but in or out nobody in Europe is going to tell the British press what they can or cannot write.
It’s amazing how much the left hates free speech, freedom of religion, freedom of association, and Truth.
They aren’t that far from Stalin.
It took a while until societies learned how to find the right kind of policies to contain this and to manage and steer this,
Vell, vell.
