My BS detector starts ringing loudly any time “climate change” is mentioned. Yesterday a friend of my wife sent us an email with an article from National Geographic claiming that cute little arctic birds were having a massive die off because of global warming.

When I was looking for some type of verification for this I came across all sorts of other nonsense. The greenies are claiming that house cats kill 3.5 Billion birds a year so a few hundred thousand killed by windmills isn’t bad because those birds are giving their lives so that many other birds will live because windmills are reducing bird killing global warming. They said that overall windmills are increasing the bird population. They even had a chart showing that windmills kill less birds than cars. They also claimed that many more birds were killed by crashing into power lines and utility poles than were killed by windmills. Of course it is all total and complete nonsense and unsupported conjecture, but these people actually start believing their own propaganda. It is called cognitive dissonance and it has become very pervasive in our society. So you can’t argue with these people because actual observational data and scientific reasoning will not change their belief system.

It is called cognitive dissonance <<...BINGO!

Its a mental disorder that is prevalent in “liberals”.....trying to hold 2 completely opposite beliefs at the same time....Reality vs. their false beliefs....When they invariably pick their beliefs over Reality it becomes a mental illness....
