I don’t want to get into an argument here about details of Barron’s life; just let me clear up a few things. You seem to be under the misconception that Aspies are necessarily friendless and lifeless and must not be able to play sports. Aspies (who can vary a lot from person to person) often act very similarly to any other happy, fun-loving kids in situations and around people they are comfortable with. That is different in strange situations and when under stress like in big, noisy crowds. Many Aspies are also outgoing and talkative, even if they don’t read every situation perfectly, so what appear to be the basic assumptions you are arguing against are wrong (although I did find your second-hand information about Barron interesting).

I can tell too from an earlier post of yours about Barron with the article link and quotes that you aren’t familiar with many other common characteristics of Asperger’s, such as 1) mimicry and modeling oneself and one’s behavior after others, 2) being especially bright and knowledgeable on certain topics, very frequently computers and mathematics, 3) having a notably strong will and insistence on control, 4) being considered unique, and 5) in some cases having a strong preference for order, cleanliness, and certain colors (see Dr. Tony Atwood’s The Complete Guide to Asperger’s Syndrome for details on these points). Your linked article, which I had already read before, doesn’t at all do what I think you believe it does.

Very interesting information. But the characteristics listed are prevalent kid behaviors and are not necessarily considered extraordinary. If they were, everyone I know would gain a special spot in the DSM. Having had zero interaction with a person, it is pretty audacious and unethical to diagnose them. It remains none of our business, none at all. The details of Barron’s life need to remain private and he deserves to grow up having fun, just being a kid. Hillary did that for Chelsea. Michelle has done a pretty good job of that for her girls. And none of these three girls have been very smiley for the cameras in their youth, not at all.

Your diagnoses is based on media cuts. In addition to Aspies, do you realize that many private citizens do not welcome strangers and camera attention -especially celebrity children. I would caution anyone to read much into their faces during media events. Wealthy people and celebrity kids are stalked by papparrazi from day one. These children grow up very guarded and elusive in public and that behavior is not representative of their true personality.

Aside from the Kardasians and politicians, most people do not welcome being chased by reporters with snapping cameras. It’s intrusive and abnormal. Children don’t won’t to be glad-handed by a crowd of strangers. Celebrity kids are often grimacing or turning their faces as their parents rush them from the limo to the airport. They are not autistic or in any ‘spectrum’; they plainly hate the cameras and avoid the unwelcome stress it adds to their life. Again, that’s the point, to MYOB and resist pigeon holing children.

Donald Trump has been stalked by photographers for decades, his security detail serves a dual role. His family vacations have been bombarded by photographers who are not apt to leave unless directly escorted from the property. Lucky for him, he owns resorts and can eject people. Through these situations, Trump has learned to use and control the media and get the PR he wants with minimal hassle.

For ten years, Melania has done a great job of protecting her son and his friends from the prying eyes of strangers. The media can not crash his school and has restricted access to Mar-a-Lago. I would think that this trend will continue forward.

Melania has a very beautiful warm smile, yet she refuses to smile on cue for photographers, which is actually kind of funny. Barron may just due the same. Rest assured, he will not be flipping the camera his middle finger reminiscent of Miss Jenna Bush.

But if he did, I wouldn’t blame him one bit.
