Why wouldn’t he suggest?...hey why don’t we come up with an alternative to SNL?

How is this any different than a progressive wanting to legislate talk radio to force both sides of an issue covered?

Isn’t that the point in America, let the market decide what it wants?

Still don’t get why people get bent out of shape over words...LOL.

“hey why don’t we come up with an alternative to SNL?”

I’ve been advocating that for years. Something called “Friday Night Live” and on early enough working folks can stay up and watch it.

It would run on our new Conservative Network Channel (CNC).

I’ve contributed a number of ideas for ongoing skits for FNL over the years here, and quite frankly, we could do the whole show simply based on the wits that post here. Some of the funniest I’ve ever seen have been posted right here on FR.

Just a few minutes ago I was laughing my arse off over someone who called Starbucks a “snobatorium”. Right there is a skit: a parody version of Starbucks, but with coffee buyers in the form of the Grey Poupon snob, with Rolls Royces pulling up to drive in window, even. You could work it two ways: 1.) the R.R. Grey Poupon guy and the Starbucks “Barristas” try to out snob each other, ending with the “highly skilled barrista” simply pushing one button on an automated machine that looks exactly like the 1970’s coffee vending machines; 2.) the other way to work it is the snobby Grey Poupon guy trying to deal with high school drop out valley girl (or gang-banger) types not understanding each other a la Wayne’s World driveup hamburger scene, ending with the “barrista” pressing a button on an automated machine that looks exactly like the 1970’s coffee vending machine.

We could even have the Grey Poupon guy as a regular character doing all kinds of things.

Another idea is to have a fake megyn kelly “news” show with a panel of characters modeled after real people; there could be a fake chris rock character, a fake whoopi goldberg character, a fake frank lutz character, a fake Don King character, a fake larry the cable guy character, and the REAL Uncle Si! The possibilities for THAT weekly skit are nearly endless, with ALL of their lines taken from blogs and comments on the Internet, so no actual writing is even necessary.

back when he mattered, i was gonna have a midget playing Robert Reich as a (literal) troll who lived under a bridge who would come out and make ridiculous economic comments.

We could have a Elizabeth Warren Indian character.

this stuff is actually really pretty easy and an actual comedy show form a conservative point of view has never been done, and with President Trump being ascendant right now, this could be a great time to do one.
