I misread the article. I thought the student made the 9/11 comment. It was the teacher.

That the student was “given the opportunity to leave class” by the teacher likely means that the teacher would have made it very uncomfortable for the student if she had chosen to stay.

This begs the question as to why should a student be told to leave the class. If the teacher is foolish enough to allow political discussion in a classroom, then that teacher should be prepared for pushback by those who disagree.

When I hear about people actually CRYING over this election, I remember all those photos of the poor Korean people crying over Kim Jong-il. I never thought people in my own country could become so brainwashed.

My question too. The school states that they welcome all forms of political expression, and yet goes on to say she was no ejected, but was asked to leave if she wanted.
