Sanctuary cities violate federal laws. Why wouldn’t you prosecute them?

Alternatively, we could just stop prosecuting anyone who violates any gun law on the books. I bet the Liberals would have an issue with that.

As it is, firearms law violations are seldom prosecuted, particularly if it is not politically expedient.

Right? What am I missing here. I don't know the nature of this 'federal funding' going to the cities but I might be inclined to assume that some of the funds go to support needed programs that benefit the citizens of these cities. If a government official openly brags about breaking the law, what's to stop the feds from swearing out a warrant for their arrest and put them in handcuffs like any other criminal? I just don't get where these people think they have the power and authority to break the law.

Kind of along those lines perhaps we should bring up statistics on how many people are killed by illegals per year versus how many are killed by guns, maybe prove illegals are more dangerous than guns

Instead of cutting off their funding, making the Republicans look bad, I say feed them to their own lions!!

The Republicans need to court-shop an assault charge or a drug-related charge to find a court that will hold the city at fault for failing to prosecute and assist with immigration laws, they are violating the "equal protection" requirements of the law, and therefore, until they start applying all laws equally, that city can't prosecute ANY law-breakers! The breakdown in the larger cities will FORCE the cities to step-up, AND QUICK, before total chaos kicks in!!

This way, the sanctuary cities will pay the price - DIRECTLY - and the people in the city will see the Democrat failures, up close and personal!
