Trump's DHS director accidentally reveals plan to redefine arrested illegals as 'criminals' (Tr.)
Daily Mail ^ | 11-22-2016 | DAVID MARTOSKO

One of President-elect Donald Trump's potential cabinet picks showed photographers more than he intended over the weekend, revealing part of an aggressive plan to change the Department of Homeland Security's approach to combating illegal immigration.

When the two posed for pictures beforehand, however, Kobach was clutching his proposal – and photographs captured the parts that his left hand didn't obscure.

They included uncompromising approaches to deportations, providing for the 'rapid build' of the wall that Candidate Trump promised for America's southern border – 1,989 miles of it – and part of a plan that appears targeted at making sure illegal immigrants can't vote in national elections.

Actually it’s their job to ferret out facts....This was a invited, posed picture....not a through a window over the shoulder covert shot

Let this be a lesson to the new Trump admin.....never expose documents......

Anyone can be arrested. Police can, and do, make mistakes. Being arrested does not make you a criminal, you are a criminal when you are convicted by a jury of your peers.

There are, after all, degrees of criminality, from infractions, to misdemeanors, to felonies, all of which have varying commensurate penalties. Felons, those who have committed the felony acts in THIS country, are and should be the first to be deported, and the host country SHALL accept them. They were very likely criminals in their own country, it should be the duty of that country to clean up their own house.

The very audacious manner in which these deportations are carried out should communicate a strong message to those who have committed lesser degrees of criminal acts, and a large self-deportation wave should see a lot of them fleeing to the relative safety of their homeland, or at least to some other country.

Those remaining, who have no further criminal record in this country, ought come forth and throw themselves on the mercy of ICE, to make a determination as to whether they have something of value to contribute, by way of gainful employment skills or of personal wealth, in which instance they may be granted a permanent resident status, with no path to citizenship until they return to their country of origin and apply for entry to become citizens. The rest, including anchor babies, are simply returned to country of origin, and the whole concept of birthright by place of birth should be sent to the courts for determination of the validity of the doctrine as intended under the language of the 14th Amendment. No dual citizenships are to be accepted, save in individual instances, and only by act of Congress

This constitutes espionage by the Daily Mail. This paper is foreign owned. There should be repercussions of some kind.

It's an AP photo. A demerit for them too. Spying on the president is serious business. This shiite needs to stop. Freedom of the press doesn't mean freedom to spy on the government.

How is this sensitive information? It’s what the Trump campaign ran on and won on.

They are.

DUH!!!!

First for being in the country illegally.

Then if they have been arrested on other charges, they are by default criminals.

And the media doesn’t get why we don’t trust them.

Good Lord.

And the papers were on top of a folio to boot. I’d normally toss them in the folio after a meeting. If the stack was too big, and the top page was sensitive, I’d at least turn the stack over.

They either didn’t care if it were seen, or did it on purpose. Trump has repeatedly said he’s not going to telegraph his moves. (unless he wants to)

I did not know that anyone arrested was not a criminal.
To be arrested you must break the law.

That's actually incorrect. Plenty of people are arrested who have not broken the law. Suspects are arrested all the time. Trial resulting in CONVICTION makes you a criminal. Hence the label, "convict".

“It is despicable for the press to release this,”

Why?

The guy is only a candidate for a position and these are his proposals.
He was careless.....

It was a staged photo. No espionage going on.

So that leaves one or two conclusions:

1. DHS director made a mistake

2. It was an intentional ‘leak’ to the press

Lastly, it only shows they are about executing the laws already on the books. This is news? This is super secret? Trump campaigned on that ideal and soon will take an oath to FAITHFULLY execute the laws of the United States. And, yes this shows Trump and his administration does mean it. It is rather comforting don’t you think.

“My 1st thought..Why is this guy exposing his docs? Thats what a brief case is for?”

Consider what information is being shown and work with me as I go far fetched here for a second:

Trump’s main claim to fame is the Wall. That’s what propelled him to prominence. In his “First 100 days” video yesterday, he didn’t mention the Wall at all. Could this be a backhanded “accidentally on purpose mention” of it?

He’s the master of this kind of stuff. It’s not likely but is it impossible?

Could it have been *exposed* on purpose?

Naw Trump would never rickroll the press.
