A time for truth. Despite the post-election, bring-us-together talk of unity, this country is hopelessly divided on cultural, moral and political issues, and increasingly along racial and ethnic lines.
Many Trump voters believe Hillary Clinton belongs in a minimum-security facility, while Hillary Clinton told her LGBT supporters half of Trump's voters were racists, sexists, homophobes, xenophobes and bigots.
Donald Trump's presidency will be a besieged presidency, and he would do well to enlist, politically speaking, a war cabinet and White House staff that relishes a fight and does not run.
The battle of 2016 is over.
The long war of the Trump presidency has only just begun.

We can't be like the Republican presidents and Establishment Republicans of the past and let the MSM take free shots at us.
They have become too mean and belligerent. There are too many people who have been brainwashed -- by the MSM, Hollywood and their teachers -- who are on their side.
We need to fight. We need to expose them and open the eyes of the American people.
Trump cannot operate his presidency and we cannot fix this country until the tyranny of the MSM is defeated.

While I appreciate Buchanan’s candor, I would hate to play chess with President Elect Trump. He is so far ahead of the MSM they are beside themselves.
One word: Bannon
If the Republican Congress has any sense, it will realize the extent to which the MSM threatens national security and grant Trump the powers he needs. The First Amendment does not protect subversion, so
Trump should be granted a free hand to shut down subversive media outlets and detain “journalists” who are spreading lies and anti-American propaganda. Start with CNN and CBS. Give the others a chance to fall in line, but close them down as well unless they are seriously reformed and purged of subversives.
I disagree. Trump doesn’t need to — and shouldn’t — infringe on First Amendment rights, nor should he shut down any media organizations.
He should use the platform of the presidency to fight them and expose them.
