John Major: case for second Brexit referendum is credible
The Guardian ^ | 11/25/16 | Peter Walker

Sir John Major has become the second former prime minister within 24 hours to question the Brexit process, saying in a speech that there is a “perfectly credible” case for a second referendum on leaving the EU.

Speaking shortly after Tony Blair argued in an interview that Brexit could be reversed if the public changed its mind, Major said that the 48% of voters who wanted to remain should not be subject to the “tyranny of the majority”.

The former Conservative prime minister said at a private dinner that the opinions of remain voters should also be heard in the debate about how Britain will leave the European Union, the Times reported.

In his first intervention over the issue since the 23 June referendum, Major said he accepted the UK would not remain a full member of the EU, but hoped any Brexit deal would mean the UK would remain as close as possible to EU members and the single market.

Just keep voting until you get the outcome you want, right?

“The former Conservative prime minister said at a private dinner that the opinions of remain voters should also be heard in the debate about how Britain will leave the European Union,...”

Their OPINIONS were heard when they voted.

Yep. When I read it, the exact same response you posted popped into my mind.

It is the liberal way.

Major said that the 48% of voters who wanted to remain should not be subject to the “tyranny of the majority”.

... but the 52% who thought their vote mattered should be subject to the "tyranny of the minority" who lost because their panties are in a twist?

Liberals are liberals no matter where located. If they had won with 51%, it would have been a mandate for staying. Having lost, by whatever margin, the vote was illegitimate. Voting will only be allowed if we vote the right way.

If they vote again, they will lose bigger.

The argument that the World would end if they lost did not materialize. So all of the voters who voted to stay out of fear will not be afraid next time. The World did not end.

Apparently they held the last referendum on staying in the E.U. in 1975 and it got 67% yay.

For support to have dropped 19 points, doesn’t sound like it’s worked out so well for them.

The people are beginning to enjoy the experience of kicking Liberals in the ass. Why should we deny them the pleasure?

“Major said that the 48% of voters who wanted to remain should not be subject to the “tyranny of the majority”.

Because a tyranny of the minority is so much more pure. Majority means the possibility that racism is lurking, and better national suicide than the mere hint of racism. For Globalists, racism is defined as anything that opposes their goals for world regimentation.

If you do not like the results of an election have a do over or demand recounts. Seems Britian and America still have a few things in common!

Kind of reminds me of what the left wants in the US.

They do not like the outcome, so they want do overs until they manipulate a win.
