On Fridays broadcast of CNNs New Day, TheRoot.com Politics Editor Dr. Jason Johnson argued that President-Elect Donald Trump might pick former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney as Secretary of State to get him out of Washington in the same way President Obama took Hillary Clinton, who has been one of his biggest critics, made her Secretary of State and told her to get out of the country.
Johnson said, Theres an element to this that you sometimes see when someone is like the President of the United States. They may choose some of their most vocal critics, who are still within their party, and give them prominent positions that will take them out of Washington. What did President-Elect Barack Obama do? He took Hillary Clinton, who has been one of his biggest critics, made her Secretary of State and told her to get out of the country. So, that may be one of the ideas behind the Trump administration.
He added that Kellyanne Conways statements about Trumps base being angry with Romney disorganized, unprofessional, and set a bad precedent for how the administration will work.

Trump is not Obama, and not this easily pushed. Romney is not in anyone’s way, much less Trump’s. If he picks Mittens it’s because he wants Mittens.
Here’s hoping he doesn’t want Mittens...
The Bishop can KMA, he sucked as MA govemor, and couldn’ beat O’Dip sheet! A worthless RINO!!!
Just make him ambassador to the Soviet Vatican, or Iran.
“Romney will run against Trump in the primary in 2020.”
Very likely. And he will make Jeb look better as a failure, sort of like Obama made Carter look better as a failure.
I noticed he is kind of old....73 in 2020.
He is in good health though.
If Trump actually picks Mittens for something, it will be because he believes he’s the right fit for the job - period....
