Here’s a bittersweet story that’s vaguely related. My 82-year-old quilting friend had been very ill for a few years — diabetes, kidneys (on dialysis 3x week), and miscellaneous other issues. Absolutely despised Hillary and loved Trump. She couldn’t stop talking about it.

On election day around noon she went into a coma, and just yesterday she passed away. When her daughter called to let me know, I asked if she ever got to know that Hillary had lost the election. She said that, yes, she had been awake and lucid for a couple days during that time so they told her. She was so happy!

That is great. My one surviving grandparent, my grandmother will be 99 in January and is not in great shape at this point. She was too ill to vote and the relatives she lives with didn’t get the mail in ballot arranged.

Anyway, she also hates Hillary and loves Trump.

She is also thrilled that our country won’t be enduring Hillary.

I have a 96 year old uncle in bad health who did arrange to early vote with his wife, both voted for Trump of course.

Cheers for wise old people!
