Trump steps up criticism of vote recount

Washington (AFP) – President-elect Donald Trump and his top aides on Sunday doubled down on their criticism of Hillary Clinton’s camp for joining a vote recount in Wisconsin, terming the decision “ridiculous” and “a waste of time.”

With the recount threatening to revive debate about the legitimacy of Trump’s victory — Clinton won far more popular votes, while he carried the all-important Electoral College count — Trump aides pushed back hard on Sunday, even while continuing to wage an extraordinarily public battle over the makeup of the future cabinet.

In his latest early-morning Twitter storm, Trump quoted Clinton about the need to respect the electoral process, calling the presidential vote recount “sad.” It is time for people to accept the November 8 result and move ahead, he said on Saturday.

America does not elect a President by the popular vote - read the US Constitution.

Most election experts see almost no chance the election outcome could be reversed — Clinton trails in each state by several thousand votes.

What’s this about the “extraordinarily public battle over the makeup of the future cabinet”? As far as I’ve seen is just a few names mentioned here and there for certain positions? I guess all of the other Presidents had extremely dull matters concerning something like this?

The popular vote count is a red herring anyway. As long as some states have rampant vote fraud without any mechanism to secure the integrity of the voting process, the “popular vote” means little.

I would like to see the federal government refuse to accept election results from states that do not safeguard election integrity. Such a move would make California’s “popular vote” completely irrelevant.

Hillary’s behavior since the election clearly demonstrates that she is completely unfit to be president.

This whole recount thing is a scam like Trump said, because even if Hitlery won Penn. and Wisconsin, Trump would still be the winner, so why are they doing it? Because this Jill Stein is trying to make money. I predicted right before the election that if Trump won Florida he would win the election. When he won Florida that’s when I stopped watching the returns because I knew he won. Penn. and Wisconsin wins were just icing on the cake.

You can see the panic trolls over there at Breitbart as well. One silly twit going on about how Hillary’s people have allegedly been there since the election destroying Trump ballots and replacing them with Hillary ones.

We have 50 separate elections.

And in the ones where Hillary won the most votes, she got the electoral votes from there.

And in the ones where Trump won the most votes, he got the electoral votes from there.

Is there a place where Hillary got the most votes and lost the EV from that state? NOPE!

*not counting Maine

And in response, Trump should announce that the Clinton’s Criminal Investigation is back on.

Sanders says that we almost always have recount. Not in Presidential elections, except whenever Democrats lose.

One of the main things this election is about is removing permanently the celebrity status of the media. I also agree entirely with Trump’s comments about making it easier to sue the media when they are not truthful. All the comments about how this will stifle a ‘free’ media are total bs. It’s very easy to write accurately, and to admit when facts are not known (e.g. ‘there have been comments and rumors linking the Congressman with business owners in his/her district, but these have not been substantiated, have been strongly denied, and in the absence of any substantiation remain only rumors at this point’). This is what they do if and when they ever report something negative about a democrat, but they show no such restraint when going after a Republican.

Our society and our government are based upon checks and balances. Where do the checks and balances come in when the media become an arm of propaganda for a specific party or ideology? The media should also be held accountable. In a truly professional media environment most of us would hardly know the names of the people in media, let alone having to watch them make tens of millions of dollars, parade around as celebrities, and look down their noses at a significant percentage of the population.

Our side is full of guys in trailers and shortwave radios that swore that Trump was a Hillary plant, and that Soros rigged every machine in America, and that every state in the union would be “stolen” by Mexicans.

Sadly the Democrats never have people like this to annoy them.

Plus, many many people in states that always vote for one party stay home (Republicans will stay home in CA and NY. Dems will stay home in TX) because they figure their votes won't count. If popular vote was the determining factor, these people would make sure to get out and vote.
