Any recounts ordered would be done in time for the electors to vote. Hell, it only took one night to count them the first time.
Sam, good point.
I'm hardly a concern troll, but I am curious about these actions. It doesn't make sense financially--to raise this money to fund a recount that doesn't appear to turn the election.
It doesn't make sense logically--as to why Stein would selectively target only a few states that she has zero chance to win. Even if the results were overturned in each of the contested states, they wouldn't yield enough EVs to make Stein a winner, only Hillary. And that begs the question, what legal standing does Stein have to ask for a recount when she is not a party to the outcome?
Finally, it doesn't make sense politically. Trump's support has only solidified since the election--he's done a lot of things to show stability, and smoothed over many of the concerns some of his reluctant voters may have had. The idea that such an effort is only being done to whittle his EV count and undermine his Presidency will only play in a small pocket of the anti-Trump crowd, and they matter little in the grand scheme of things.
What's your take, Sam? Why are they doing this?
