It’s illegal to deface money, too. Is that a free speech issue as well?
I know the courts have ruled national defacement as a free speech issue, but there IS a fine line between treason and heroism.
In my opinion, burning our flag says a lot about just what kind of person the burners are...

If you claim it’s political speech, then yes, it is a free speech issue. You may have to fight for years in court, but most likely the courts would rule in your favor.
