It never seems to occur to some people that, when they are in power and screwing those who are out of power, some day the roles might be reversed.

Harry Reid’s pet.
Lets Biden paw his terrified daughter, while grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
We could have had Christine O’Donnell instead, who actually knew the Constitution, but Karl Rove had to destroy her.

They were so arrogant that they never thought it possible that their new weapon would ever be used on them.
May they never learn.

If only the Republicans and the public had made those points at the time, the Democrats could have seen the recklessness of the idea. *cough*

potential emergency break I hate to become the grammar police, but this is the second misuse of a word in the past 20 minutes. Both from the original article (not typos by the FR poster.) The other was a lose/loose misuse, but not in the usual sense ('loose' instead of 'lose') ... it was 'lose' instead of 'loose' .....

Coons regrets the Democrats losing power, that is all. If Hillary won the White House and the Dems won the Senate, he would be all for stopping the filibuster. His comment is pure political gamesmanship.

Senator Chris Coons (D., Del.) said on CNN Tuesday that he regrets the rule change Senate Democrats made to the nomination process. Typical liberal; wants it both ways.
