President-elect Donald Trumps choices for health secretary and administrator of the governments largest health insurance programs have for years pursued a sharply conservative agenda that includes redefining Medicare, placing personal responsibility requirements on low-income recipients of Medicaid, or dismantling the Affordable Care Act.
If adopted, this agenda could dramatically alter access to insurance and medical services for more than 100 million Americans covered through the two entitlement programs and the ACA.
Trump has nominated Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) to lead the Department of Health and Human Services and health consultant Seema Verma to run the HHS agency that oversees Medicare and Medicaid. The two are master tacticians of the right-leaning health-care vision Trump adopted as central campaign themes.

The nerve!
I didn’t read the article. But would not be surprised if they said that Trump wants to throw millions off of their precious Obamacare policies, and also throw Gramdma off a cliff.
Plus, make it a law that all food items that get "sin tax" applied by democrats, also gets immediately removed from the EBT list of approved foods/drinks. RATS want to tax soda?then they're not eligible for EBT users, etc.
When it sinks in, really hope someone see's this post and can make it happen.
It’s Way Passed Time
He should immediately take soda off of EBT, it is ridiculous for taxpayers to finance all the non-essential crap like that. Of course, Coke and Pepsi might be bankrupt in a year...
The whole food system is messed up by lobbyists anyway, to the detriment of our health.
and Obama phones to shut off as well. “
On occasion my photographic memory runs out of film but it seems to me that the original sales pitch for Obama phones was two fold. First to give “the poor and disadvantaged” a way to call 911 and second to allow them to be able to contact and/or to be contacted by prospective employers. By this I really thought they would be in the form of a land line which would be set up to only allow calls to 911 and local calls. Why would this approach still not work? Yet I continuously see people with an EBT card in one hand and an iPhone or Smart Phone in the other. As a minimum, any cell phone should be for talking only to local numbers and have a very strict limit on minutes.
EBT policy needs a severe overhaul including approved places to purchase and allowable items. The local stop and rob places should never be allowed to accept an EBT card for anything IMO.
Democrats and their functionary organizations still can’t comprehend why they got clobbered and totally kicked out of power.
Not only soda but I ACTUALLY saw bums buys BEER using the EBT at Rite Aid. My blood was boiling. And yeah, I know what an EBT card looks like. He was right in front of me.
Price has been my Rep for ten years and just got re-elected, but I honestly can’t think of a single thing he has done but be a loyal party clone - supporting Boehner and Paul Ryno. Therefore I really don’t expect much out of him at HHS.
Could someone check with CNN or the Slimes and find out whether this would be racist or sexist? I don't know what to think and need some guidance here.
It should only cover basic edibles. Meat, vegetables and staples like flour, sugar, etc... JMHO
Not just Wally World, you see it in every store. Seems like obesity is a widespread problem everywhere. Just too many people leading sedentary lives. Interesting to see so many women pay a lot of money to go to the gym and exercise yet they don’t clean their own house or work outside in their yard. Kids in our neighborhood all play outside all the time but don’t see the same level of activity in other areas.
Used to be that you would see clothing that said “One size fits all”. Saw a label on something the other day that said “One size fits most”. Stores used to have a lot of petite sized clothing, now they have huge departments with sizes X, 2X and 3X. Hard to find petite sizes.
Homeless population already rising
He promised not to hurt people on Social Security and cutting Medicare is hurting people on Social Security. They paid for that benefit their whole working lives - along with their employer.
