Aren’t gun stores supposed to put the inventory in safes for the night? There was a gun store robbery in Texas recently but the thieves came away empty-handed, since the store owner put all guns in safes before closing for the night.

Should they? Probably, if their inventory is small enough that there are enough hours in a day to put them away and trot them out daily.

Suppose to? No, there is no law mandating it.
