Reddit, Facebook and others are censoring pro-Trump views.

Reddit CEO, Steve Huffman, was caught altering pro-Trump messages. The article itself (from Reuters) portrays Trump supporters as evil.

More from the article:

On Reddit, a channel supporting the U.S. Republican party's presidential candidate Donald Trump, called r/The_Donald, featured racist and misogynistic comments, fake news and conspiracy theories about his Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton, along with more mainstream expressions of support for Trump.

Many of those supporting Trump were very active, voting up the r/The_Donald conversations so that they became prominent across Reddit, which is the 7th-most-visited U.S. internet site, according to web data firm Alexa.

Last week, Reddit banned Pizzagate, a community devoted to a conspiracy theory, with no evidence to back it up, that links Clinton to a paedophile ring at a Washington, D.C. pizza parlour, after it posted personal information in violation of Reddit policy.

Huffman then used his administrative privileges to redirect abuse he was receiving on a thread on r/The_Donald to the community's moderators - making it look as if it was intended for them. Huffman said it was a prank, and that many Reddit users, including some Trump supporters, told him they thought it was funny, but it inflamed the situation.

Reddit has a more permissive attitude than Facebook and Twitter when it comes to what it allows on its site, but r/The_Donald users frequently crossed a line, Huffman said, including by trying to manipulate voting to ensure their posts appear on prominent Reddit pages.

Reddit has stepped up its efforts to combat abuse on the site over the past year, creating what it called an 'anti-evil" team of engineers dedicated to fighting harassment.

Are they going to ban people who intentionally change other Reddit users’ quotes?

"Are they going to ban people who intentionally change other Reddit users’ quotes?"

If you are for Trump, you will get banned; otherwise no.

We need to replace Reddit, Facebook, Twitter and the ACLU, who only protect the Left.

Trump should propose implementing a Fairness Doctrine on all those sites. The very same one the Left has long been whining about wanting to slap on broadcasters.

Watch them howl and wail like stuck pigs.

Er... the entire NATURE of those threads were to find and post evidence!

They (Reddit CEO Steve Huffman, a/k/a “Spez”) censor r/The_Donald, and ban the pedophile investigation, r/Pizzagate, altogether.

But proudly continue to host/support:

(Pedophiles need friends too!)
A place for (non-offending) pedophiles and allies to discuss each other and support each other.

That fool doesn’t realize that before Reddit, there was Digg.

So these types of sites come and they go.

I have dozens of accounts on Reddit right now, so they can try to shut me up. They are just wasting their time.

>> crack down on online harassment by banning or suspending users who target others

Harassment is unacceptable, but the Right is often held to a much higher standard where most any form of criticism is considered objectionable.

Harassment has been a cherished political weapon of the Left for decades. Saul Alinsky wrote a book about its use.

No, he shouldn't. Ever. He can tweet about how unfair they are, how rigged they are, call them out by name, whatever. He can encourage people to use other media if he wants. But there's no way in hell anyone on this forum should be supporting government interference of the internet.

I disagree.

The most basic function of our government is to enforce the Constitution. When free speech is being abridged on sites that have been recognized as primary means of communication and as public forms, the government can and should step in. I hope the new Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, addresses this situation.
