In the US I have seen political Marxist/Leninists involved in attempts to prevent building Liquid Natural Gas depots on the east coast. This was happening a few years ago as Russian surrogates were invading the Ukraine after Crimea had been taken. I believe Russia at the time was withholding or threatening to withhold gas from Ukraine.

The Turkish army is enormous and at least as well equipped and probably better trained than many Russian units.

Depends on who got purged in the fake coup.

This crapstorm in syria started in 2012 and is an extension of the NATO attempt to bail out the EU banks by killing off all of Russias money launderers (ghadaffy/assad) that separate Russia from USD and EU oppression,( same reason for all World Wars ), just a matter of time until someone snaps adain (like Hitler and Hirohito) and gets fed up with being bullied and sends a rainstorm of nukes our way Hopefully they will just bomb a G20 summit instead http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-18897218

Not really and you have a short, short memory like most Americans these days. This crapstorm as you called it started as an extension of the foreign policy of the United States attempts to overthrow leaders in Egypt, Benghazi, etc. Assad was just another name on their list in a proxy war.

Turkey is in Syria because of the Obama Regime. For whatever the Middle East, the ‘chaos maker’ has to get Syria out of the picture before he leaves office in January. Syria is the last piece of the Arab Spring that then triggers...what? Our news services and global perspective is being well insulated regarding world events and the major chess game being played.

Maybe they would, but this is an away game for the Russians. Erdogan has, it should be said, done great harm to his military with his purges. Frankly, Putin and Erdogan deserve each other. The Russians and the Turks don’t deserve them.

Turkey is NATO and we are supposed to. It is a cover for their plans.

I don’t see an Article 5 scenario if the Turks and Russians start fighting in Syria.

You need to read up on the plight of Russia’s aircraft carrier that’s in the Med. “Russia,” as Talleyrand said, “is not as weak as it seems. Russia is not as strong as it seems.”

I have read that story and it is BS. Even got defunked in the media. I get my info from much more reliable sources.

Turkey going after Russia is a spectacularly bad idea. It has been every Tsars dream since Peter the Great to take Constantinople, the Bosphorus, and the Dardanelles. Erdogan is risking having Russian landing craft sailing into the Golden Horn.

Or, the “elites” have agreed to concentrate the effort in Syria and allow the war and the outcome to be there only.

The problem for them now is, What will Trump do? Better hurry up and kill off Assad quickly before Trump rules seems to be the Turkish view. Once he is daea, thew other problems can be sorted out

FWIW, I don’t think it’s out of the realm of the possibility that Hillary would have started a confrontation with Europe if nationalist leaders had taken power there.
