What "Make America Great Again" Means to an Insane Democrat on CNN

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: There's a sound bite you have to hear. I saw this one myself, as the show prep this morning, I'm watching CNN, and it's typical. You have the CNN infobabe anchorette, Carol Costello and then two anti-Trump Democrat strategists and Scottie Nell Hughes, a pro-Trump strategist. So three against one: Three anti-Trump, pro-Hillary against one.

And they're ganging up on her, as per usual, but I want you to hear one of these guests, Symone Sanders. Carol Costello says (impression), "You know, Symone, I think that many of Mr. Trump's supporters out there don't consider themselves racist and they're really upset to be called that, and a lot of them don't really understand why they're being called racist. They just want some economic help. So, Symone, what do you...?" Listen to this. This is a Bernie Sanders campaign communications director. Her name is Symone Sanders. Listen to this, folks.

SANDERS: We have to be real and understand that the populism around Donald Trump's campaign was intrinsically tied to racism. It was intrinsically tied to making people that were not white working class "the other." "Make America Great Again" takes us back to -- people that look like me takes us back to -- the time we were in slavery, we were in chains, when we worked on plantations, internment camps for the Chinese. So it is really, really important that if we want to heal, that if people want to

get past, if Trump supporters want to say, "Well, why are you calling me racist," we have to understand that populism was tied to elements of racism. People think racism is dogs and white hoods and water hoses and the N-word. And that is not the only form of racism. There are microaggressions. There are, "Oh, you speak so well." These are microaggressions that are forms of prejudice and discrimination that we have to address.

RUSH: Symone Sanders. Symone Sanders. She worked for Bernie Sanders, communication director, but they believe it. Folks, they believe this. This is the thing. They're not just mouthing this stuff, they believe. This is insane, this the clinically insane, and she believes it. I'll run through it again 'cause I want to parse this for you.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: So we have your phone calls coming up. We have audio coming up from the contretemps at Harvard on Wednesday night. The Clinton campaign team, Hillary Clinton versus the Trump campaign people, basically Jennifer Palmieri versus Kellyanne Conway. These are normally very refined and dignified postmortems of the campaign where the competing campaign consultants and managers, with a very respectful eye toward each other, review what happened and agree to basically be civilized.

That broke down totally because the Clinton team basically sounds just like Symone Sanders here. "It was white supremacy! You Trump people were sending dog whistles out there, you heard it, Trump did it, he was signaling white racists from everywhere. I wouldn't even want to win the way you people won." That's Jennifer Palmieri and you'll hear that coming up.

But I want to go back here to Symone Sanders. CNN sees it perfectly fine to put her on the air. This is a special kind of stupid. It's bordering on clinically insane. This is very important, folks, that you understand they believe this, and the reason that you must believe and accept that they believe it is because it governs how they do everything: how they approach you, how they define you, how they see the country, how they devise policy for the country.

This is insanity, a special kind of stupid. Listen to it again here. I'm gonna maybe do a start-stop parsing of this as it goes. Again, this is former Bernie Sanders campaign communications director, Symone Sanders, being asked about Trump's voters by Carol Costello just this morning. She says, "Many of Trump's supporters do not consider themselves racists, and they're really upset to be called that, and a lot of them don't really understand why they're being called racist. They just want some economic help. So, Symone, what do you say to that?"

SANDERS: We have to be real and understand that the populism around Donald Trump's campaign was intrinsically tied to racism.

RUSH: Stop the tape! Intrinsically tied to racism. Every Democrat from Hillary on down, this was the defining characteristic to them of the Trump campaign, the defining characteristic of Trump, the defining characteristic of Trump supporters, the defining characteristic of Trump's appeal.

It is pathetic. It's disgusting. But they do it all the time. When they've run out of substantive reasons, they just start throwing the race card and call everybody who's not African-American or Hispanic a racist. And it worked for eight years, folks. The reason why you've got to understand this, it worked for eight years. It shut people up. It paralyzed legitimate criticism of the president of the United States because this is how they attacked anybody who criticized Obama. "Well, you're just a pathetic racist. You're just you're just a white supremacist."

And of course elected officials don't want to be called that, so they don't criticize. In fact, they announce they're not gonna criticize and they announce they're not gonna impeach and they announce they're not even gonna oppose Obama. But he's president. The fact that he's the first African-American president, you get past that the first day. He's president, he has specific ideas, and they have all been damaging, they have all been destructive, and nobody was allowed to say anything about it in official Washington for fear of this.

And it is time the fear of this ended. It's time people stop being afraid of clinically insane leftists. Rat-tat-tat empty charges designed to shut you up. Here's more from Symone Sanders.

SANDERS: It was intrinsically tied to making people that were not white working class people "the other." "Make America Great Again" takes us back to -- people that look like me takes us back to a time we were in slavery, we were in chains, when we worked on plantations, internment camps for the Chinese.

RUSH: Stop the tape. "Make America Great Again" takes us back, people that look like me, takes us back -- she's African-American, by the way. I didn't mention that, but she is. "Takes people like me back to a time when we were in slavery."

Now, stop and think a moment here, folks. Make America great again, what does it mean? It means America's in decline, it means there's no excuse for that, it means there's no reason we're in decline. We're in decline because of Democrat Party policy. We're in decline because of mistakes that have been made by politicians on the Democrat side and it's time to stop and it's time to make America great again.

It's time to invest in the people of this country. It's time to turn them loose. It's time to rely on the people who are the backbone of this country and get the government out of the way and regulations out of the way and obstacles out of the way and let them be the best they can be. Make America great again. She hears this, Symone Sanders hears this as a return to the plantation. Have you ever heard anybody, folks, in your lifetime, have you ever heard anybody that you know or anywhere in politics define the greatest days of America as our days pre-Civil War? Make America great, slavery? How many of you know people who think that's when America was great? How many of you have ever heard anybody define it that way?

You don't. Nobody thinks it. Nobody says it. Nobody has said it. Certainly not in the modern era. But she claims that that's what people mean, and she claims to have heard 'em say it. "'Make America Great Again' takes me back to a time we were in slavery. We were in chains, when we worked on the plantations."

Internment camps for the Chinese? Internment camps for the Chinese? What in the world is she talking about? It was FDR, noted Democrat, who interned the Japanese in World War II, but I didn't know that there were Chinese slave owners. Internment camps for the Chinese? So while blacks were in slavery we were interning the Chinese while they were building the railroads?

The woman is off-the-charts a special kind of stupid. But there she is. She's got a vaunted position to mouth off on CNN. And it matters because there are people equally as insane watching that network, and they're soaking it up. And they're getting angry, and they're going, "Rah-rah, you tell 'em, Symone." This stuff is dangerous. She wasn't finished.

SANDERS: So it is really, really important that if we want to heal, that if people want to get past, if Trump supporters want to say, "Well, why are you calling me racist," that we have to understand that populism was tied to elements of racism. People think racism is dogs and white hoods and water hoses and the N-word.

RUSH: Stop the tape! There are people who think that. "We must acknowledge that people think racism is dogs and white hoods and water hoses and the N-word." You know who those people were? Democrats. George Wallace, Lester Maddox, Bull Connor, they were Democrats. The sheriff's and law enforcement turning dogs and water hoses on African-Americans in Selma were Democrats. The segregationists in the Senate, J. William Fulbright, Strom Thurmond, they were Democrats.

They were not Republicans. They were not the precedents of Donald Trump. They were Democrats. "People think racism is dogs and white hoods." The KKK was the military arm of the Democrat Party. The KKK has actually had a member elected, two members elected to government positions, one in the Senate, his name is Robert "Sheets" Byrd, he's a Democrat.

The KKK was Democrats. Bull Connor -- turning dogs and fire hoses on African-Americans in Selma -- Democrat. Lester Maddox, Democrat. George Wallace, Democrat. She wants to blame this on Trump? She wants to say that when Trump does a rally, this is what people are thinking of? Trump was in Cincinnati last night. How many of you watching had visions of the KKK in your head? How many of you watching had visions of fire hoses and Bull Connor and playing in your mind all those water hoses being aimed at...?

Nobody.

Absolutely nobody.

But apparently Symone Sanders did. Special kind of stupid, bordering on clinically insane. And then the "microaggressions." This is why you need me to explain this to you, the last aspect of what she said.

SANDERS: And that is not the only form of racism. There are microaggressions. There are, "Oh, you speak so well." These are microaggressions that are forms of prejudice and discrimination that we have to address.

RUSH: That would be Joe Biden who looked at Obama and said -- a Democrat, by the way. Joe Biden, a Democrat, who looked at Obama and said, "It's about time we've got this clean, articulate black guy. It's about time! A clean, articulate black guy." Al Sharpton was livid when he heard this. He takes showers. (interruption)

Well, Harry Reid said it. Joe Biden said it.

"Clean, articulate black guy." Harry Reid said (summarized), "What I love about Obama is he can turn on that 'Negro dialect' whenever he wants." All of the people that Symone Sanders claims to be upset by are Democrats! Symone, they are in your party! They are not Donald Trump, and they're not Donald Trump supporters. But she says, "People that admire Obama microaggression 'cause he speaks so well."

That's a put-down, you see? Why is it a put down to compliment Obama on the way he speaks? Who...? Why...? What must you think if you believe that? This is all on her. Symone Sanders is telling us who she is and trying to lay that off on Trump and his supporters. This is why I say -- and, by the way, the Clinton campaign believes every word of this, folks. You'll hear coming up in a second. This is not exclusive to Symone Sanders. They, on the Democrat side, believe this.

“internment camps for the Chinese”

What an idiot. Does she think we were fighting the Chinese in WWII?

1.) If the phrase "Make America Great Again" takes her back to the era from 1776-1959, she's essentially admitting that we've been sliding down since then.

2.) They rely on the Race Card because they are trying very hard to create a new religion, in which all white people have the Original Sin of being white and therefore "racist," and all black people have a sort of social/legal diplomatic immunity that is their version of Salvation. All blacks are Saved, all whites are Damned, and any other minority will be judged by how helpful they are in spreading the new religion.

We have to be real and understand that the populism around Donald Trump's campaign was intrinsically tied to racism.

"Intrinsically" here means "I don't have to prove it." Which is awfully convenient. And...Chinese internment camps? Really? Apparently our racism expert doesn't know the difference.

In fact, the America in "Make America Great Again" isn't some antebellum slave factory at all, it's the America before the loudmouthed social activists embarked on their campaigns of lies, bullying, and social and physical destruction. It was the America that still had a vestige of religious toleration, of increasing racial comity, of the lack of the politics of resentment and hatred. We're going to have to fight to get that America back, and it's high time we stop being nice and do so.

The word “again” is where the difference comes in. It implies we want some things in the future that we think were great in the past.

When conservatives look at the past and pick out things that were great we think
* growing economy
* improving quality of life (for everyone)
* kids doing better than their parents (and having two parentS)
* innovation (technical, business, construction,...)
* world leadership in most areas
We can be proud of the great things we want to bring from the past to the future.

When liberals look at what they think made the past great they come up with
* Jim Crow laws
* slavery
* discrimination
* segregation
Why do they think those are the great things from the past?

Did you park your helicopter in the helicopter parking lot?

(can't remember where I heard that line, from an Huey pilot)

“I think she’s talking about the democrat president who opened Japanese internment camps in WW2”

Of course she is. But it points out how stupid liberals really are.
* Men walked on Mars
* The bomb dropped on Pearl Harbor
* 57 States
* Speak Austrian in Austria
* Guam is going to tip over
* Who are these people?

There’s a common thread among all the people who uttered these imbecilic statements.

I probably didn’t use the N word for over 35 years.

Then Obama was elected....and within a few months, it came right back into my thinking & conversation.

I voted for Trump-—and as a bookkeeper, I wanted someone who could read & create a proper budget in charge. Obama didn’t create a budget for every year he was in office. I didn’t know how, IMO.

IF that makes me RACIST——put me at the head of the list.

Well, how can we forget the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor!

Libs live in a make believe world where they are in charge, make all the rules, provide the definitions, and get to judge by any standard they deem acceptable based on the situation at hand. You must accept their mental superiority and enlightened status, submit and believe to belong!

Too bad that all of their premises are based on false realities, this is why their desired outcomes are dismal failures.

Americanism, conservatism, natural law, creation, are observable, measure able, stand up to open debate and scrutiny in the sciences, economics, and civil open honest intellectual discourse, and common sense!

When a position won’t stand in the light of day and must be coerced through force of law ( at the point of a gun) then one does not have a position or belief but a dictate of tyranny that enslaves those required to espouse it.

MAGA is Liberty and freedom and moves us away from the tyranny of the PC movement in every area of our lives!

I wish a buck was still silver
It was back when the country was strong
Back before Elvis, before Vietnam war came along
Before the Beatles and yesterday
When a man could still work and still would
Is the best of the free life behind us now
And are the good times really over for good?

And are we rolling downhill like a snowball headed for hell
With no kinda chance for the flag or the liberty bell?
Wish a Ford and a Chevy
Would still last ten years like they should
Is the best of the free life behind us now
And are the good times really over for good?

I wish coke was still cola
And a joint was a bad place to be
It was back before Nixon lied to us all on T.V
Before microwave ovens when a girl could still cook, and still would
Is the best of the free life behind us now
Are the good times really over for good?

Are we rolling downhill like a snowball headed for hell
With no kinda chance for the flag or the liberty bell
Wish a Ford and a Chevy
Would still last ten years like they should
Is the best of the free life behind us now
And are the good times really over for good?

Stop rolling downhill like a snowball headed for hell
Stand up for the flag and let's all ring the liberty bell
Let's make a Ford and a Chevy
That would still last ten years like they should
'Cause the best of the free life is still yet to come
And the good times ain't over for good

Flying single ship, you normally park your aircraft near to whoever needs what you’re bringing or to pick up pax.

Parking lot might refer to staging ten or more Hueys for formation flight.

I did land my Huey in several seafood and restaurant parking lots along the S.C. coast. These had been surveyed & cleared by our safety officer as authorized landing sites. You could even bring coolers & buy shrimp but only for personal use.
