I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. But I am "implying" that you were probably in favor of Congress doing everything it could to derail any Obama initiative -- even if it was within the legitimate powers of the presidency.
And, in this particular case, anything that requires a waiver from a duly passed law is certainly within Congress' purview.
But Democrats are not going to go to the mats with a filibuster over the waiver. They will save the filibuster for more important matters, or risk the Republicans nuking the legislative filibuster as well.
Agreed. There are a bunch of Dem Senators up in 2018. They won’t die on this hill. Trump won their states by 10-19%! You think Nelson, McCaskill, Tester, Heitkamp, etc. want a bloody fight on something trivial like a waiver for a popular General like Mattis? NO chance. LOL.
I have no desire to see an all-powerful presidency, or a congress or supreme court that usurps power not belonging to them. I kinda like the separation of powers. And I have no memory of the GOP congress ever doing anything much to slow down Obama’s sense of imperialism.
Go ahead and attack it Kirston. You LOST. WE WON.
WE MAY DECIDE TO GO HARRY REID ON YOUR ASS FOR 8 YEARS.
AMERICA WON AND GLOBALISTS LOST.
Why would Globalists care about the USA anyway?
