I have to admit, I’m not tired of it, but he may want to slow down the pace so I can fully savor each one!

It gets better. At the end of WW2 when Japan surrendered, Taiwan was in US hands. Somehow, it was never officially given back. If China invaded, we’d be obligated to defend Taiwan.

My reading of this is that the call came from the Taiwan President and was not placed by Trump. Seems some posters here, not you, may be overlooking how this conversation came to be.
