>One Day. One ID. One Vote.
This is going to be frustrating to the Dems, but I feel this will be the first thing done - 1. Appoint a SCOTUS justice and hopefully Ginsberg will retire too. 2. National Voter ID 3. SCOTUS challenge rejected before 2020. 4. Require all states and precincts to reissue registration in order to clean the rolls.
Dems lose 5%-10% of their voting base.
As if being trounced three times wasn’t frustrating enough for them :)
My state passed a constitutional amendment for voter ID this election, passed with 63%.
Elections, even those including contests for federal offices, are run by the states, so what would be the legal justification for a federal NVID that the USSC would uphold? The only current parallel even remotely related to federal intervention in state elections that comes to mind is the Justice Department's scrutiny of several states for racial gerrymandering.
