None of us kids in my family opted to have children

I've noticed a lot of that in the Baby Boom generation, but I do not understand it.

From as far back as I can remember I wanted to marry a good woman and raise a loving family, to share in God's creation, to play an ongoing part in the flow of time and eternity.

I do not judge those who feel other wise, I just can't relate to them.

Women have been giving men their hearts and bodies for a long time now outside of marriage. I think it’s obvious by observing our culture that for many men, that is enough.

Now given the fact that women have only so much time to have children I can’t understand why the women go along with it. What is so great about being able to break up and date somebody else (for a woman)? She runs the risk that she will simply run out of chances to have children.

No offense taken. We were raised in a loving, tight, solid Protestant Christian family.
All of us enjoy both our parents and see/speak with them very frequently.
For whatever reason, none of us wished to become parents ourselves.
