The 12th Amendment specifies that, if nobody gets a majority of electoral votes, then selection goes to the House, which gets to pick from the top THREE candidates.

I think the plan is to challenge Trump’s victories in WI, MI, PA, so he just has a razor thin lead, then flip a couple of his electors, and a couple of Hillary’s electors, to a third compromise candidate, that House RINOs and Dems can agree on.

Even IF WI, PA, and MI are delayed, Trump would still have 260 electors. And I’m not a constitutional scholar, nor am I a history buff, but if you want to feel better, do a user search for LS. He’s posted about this ad nauseam. If the votes aren’t certified by the deadline, then the state legislatures, which in this case all 3 are in Republican control, can appoint the electors. Plus, it would seem that there would be a significant legal case to be made that a person receiving 1% of the vote cannot disenfranchise 3 states worth of voters.
