I read a story about 10 years ago concerning a Saudi cleric who was espousing liberalization of the religion. He was asked by another cleric to visit him and share his views. When he arrived the other cleric shot him dead. This is allowed and “legal” under sharia law. If you feel you are more Muslim than the other guy you can kill him.
