The U.S. government and the City of San Francisco are asking Kate Steinle’s family to dismiss the wrongful death lawsuit in a hearing on Friday.

No, thanks anyhoo.

And, just who do they mean when they write..."U.S. government"? Did I miss something? Precisely, who from the feds is asking this?

Additionally, only the judge can ‘dismiss’ a suit. The plaintiffs can cease to pursue the matter, but that’s a little too on-point for the premise this ‘reporter’ is trying to smuggle, ie,that there’s something trivial about this suit.
