Islam seems to have a huge hang up on sexuality. Women are seen as spiritually dangerous and ooze a temptation that is feared will thrust young Muslim males directly into hell. Hence women must be contained, forced to live separately, be covered, have constant supervision from mature male members of their family and even worship in a separate area in mosques. Married women are property of their husbands and may even be beaten into submission. It is as though women are spiritually radioactive.

Young male Muslims must have enormous angst when it comes to sexuality and developing any relationship with women especially when they live in an open western society. This angst manifests itself into either a predatory rape culture where non Muslim women are fair game for sex because they are unbelievers or a further isolation and repression of normal sexuality that is ripe for radical jihadist preachers to exploit and turn into them terrorists with the promise of unending guilt free sex with heavenly virgins.
