U.S.-backed moderate rebels' loss of the eastern half of Syria's largest city Aleppo to Russian-backed government forces would be a defeat for President Barack Obama's efforts to promote democracy and defeat terrorism in the Middle East, U.S. officials conceded on Monday.

Will read with a grain of salt.
Al-Reuters. This is very, very bad article.
Yes, but it is evidence of the psy-ops the media has been conducting trying to make us believe that Russia is the enemy and Al Queda is our ally.
Read what your “allies” did when they too Aleppo you hysteric twit.
Are you really this fundamentally ignorant of all geo poltical facts?
Quit lying to yourself that your posting have any rational base. Just admit all you are doing here is more of your usual habitual whining that Cruz lost the primary to Trump.
“defeat for U.S.”
Hogwash. We have no US interests in Syria and never have. It would be a huge failure for Obunghole and his attempt to topple the government of Syria and hand it to his jihadi buddies, but it wouldn’t be a defeat for the country.
Agreed. This “fake news” at its fakiest.
“Barky must be one confused man...”
I don’t think he’s confused. Sunnis, shiites, communists, socialists, anarchists, the common denominator to all these groups is that they hate America just like Obama does. He doesn’t care that they happen to hate each other, as long as they hate America more, he’s good with that.
No.dog.in.fight. Kerry needs to learn “JOBS” is not a three letter word.
Just because the DiC and the former SoS wanted to topple Assad in whatever way possible doesn’t mean America wanted that
upgraded dog food
I dont suppose they’ve talked much to the Aleppo citizens forced to live and act as human shields for the “moderate rebels”, about whether they prefer peace order hospitals and freedom from beheadings crucifixions and shelling - under Russian and Syrian control
Says Arshad Mohammed, for Rooters.
How many Mohammeds do we have working for the Mainstream Press and telling us that Muslims are wonderful? Hundreds, I believe
Aleppo's fall would be win for Russia and for the West, defeat for Barack Hussein.
I can see how the destruction of ISIS/al -Qaeda is a loss to President Obama, John Kerry Qatar, the Saudis and other supporters of ISIS, but I don't see how it is bad for America.
Silly me, I thought we were at war with al Qaeda
It’s always about Barry. Always.
I hate to say this, but unless demonstrated otherwise, the mideast NEEDS to be governed by Strong Men. And then we need to cut deals with those strong men. Basically we will allow them to exist as long as they keep their crazies in line.
The Shaw of Iran, Saddam Hussein, Khadafy, and Assad, those guys might have been terrible people, but they were self serving enough to be able to cut deals with.
“Barack Obama and his friends,”
McStain!
Thats correct. And sad. Knee jerk defending the current admin; and stupid.
Good, hope the Russians win. We’ve been supporting terrorist - or rather, Obama has been supporting terrorist like ISIS (who he lovingly calls ISIL)
I can live with this loss.
