Trump chooses pro wrestling magnate Linda McMahon to head the Small Business Administration

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump plans to nominate professional wrestling magnate and former Senate candidate Linda McMahon as his choice to head the Small Business Administration, transition officials told Reuters on Wednesday.

The announcement was expected later on Wednesday.

McMahon, 68, is a co-founder and former CEO of the professional wrestling franchise WWE, which is based in Stamford, Connecticut. She ran unsuccessfully for a U.S. Senate seat in Connecticut in 2010. She was an early supporter of Trump's presidential campaign.

The SBA, which has at least one office in every U.S. state, provides support to small businesses such as extending loans and making sure they get a percentage of federal contracts.

Trump's announcement, a copy of which was seen by Reuters, said McMahon would be a key player in his effort to generate stronger job growth and roll back federal regulations. He said she had helped the WWE grow from a 13-person operation to a publicly traded global enterprise with more than 800 employees worldwide. Donald Trump is a WWE Hall of Fame member.

If they can do the job they can be as old as they want!

Damn straight! Never mess with an old guy (or gal) if they don't think they can win, they'll just kill you and be done with it.

But there is.

At least for now. It is likely beyond killing in the foreseeable future.

The highest SAT scores were in the’60s, and that was before they revamped the scoring so that points are awarded for putting your name on the paper.

Seriously?
I think my head just exploded.
And I voted for Trump.
And I watch WWE regularly.
I guess it’s just the idea that a member of the McMahon family will be reporting to the President of the United States!
I’ll get used to it, though.
Not tired of winning yet.

McMahon was already in good condition, and he obviously knew how to properly fall backward over a table. If you take the wrong senior citizen and push them backward over a table, they could end up in a splint, a wheelchair or lying flat on a gurney.

I feel like we have won more in the last month than we have in the past eight years.

It's not a bad idea to put people age 68 (or so) and older in charge. We're the ones who grew up in a US with unlimited potential and promise. If these people can mentor one or a few to take their place, the collective memory of what it will take to Make America Great Again will not be lost. I like the idea of the successful grownups being in charge, a lot.

Besides which, think of all the left-wing crazies who will be permanently reduced to stammering when the WWF gal is in charge of the SBA.

Then there’s Bubba Dudley throwing 80 year old plus and “preggos” May Young (is old) through a table.

One of the greatest WWF/E moments ever.

She wasted a lot of money running for U.S. Senate in Connecticut twice. I’m not a fan, but this is a good fit for her.
