Less than half of his three hours is devoted to topical issues. Between the News breaks, advertisements, self promotions of his books, tea and giving out phones, there is little time left for real talk. Of course he isn't alone in this. Hannity and Levin are equally unlistenable these days, too.

Hannity and Levin are equally unlistenable these days, too. True. Same with Howie Carr (New England conservative talk show host). Love Howie, Rush, Hannity (Levin, not so much anymore after this election season), but the numerous annoying, loud commercials are so bad that I often turn the radio off, and forget to turn it back on.
