Agree. It is such a bad fake that you have to assume it was done to taunt us. A bright ten year old with photoshop could have done a better job.
I’m not a kid, but I could easily have done a nearly undetectable job. certainly not making obvious errors and not knowing to flatten and resample the image.
A good fake would simply have fooled everybody. A bad fake serves an important function: It reveals who is willing to PRETEND to be fooled.
