They aren’t homosexual. As another poster pointed out: think Gus and Woodrow in Lonesome Dove. Think David and Jonathon from the Bible. His is nothing but a “wish it were true” from a lefty writer. These are the same people who try to make David and Jonathan gay. They want to “gay” everything...even when it’s not.

Sickening, the whole diversity movement is just evil, pure and simple

I tend to watch TV programs for the quality of the acting and writing.

Bingo!

“one of the most exciting is the diversity of its cast. From its female lead”

Yeah, right, because their haven’t been any female leads in movies or TV. So brave.

Exactly.

Someone who at one time I greatly admired and respected insisted to me a few days ago that David and Jonathan were gay lovers.

I gave up on all hope for him after that. Even when he told me that he had been one of Hillary's electors had she won his state, I didn't hold that against him. But to say that David and Jonathan were romantic? He's a lost cause.

Your post is why we are having a hard time changing things. I’m one of the biggest Star Wars fans there isand I will not see this movie. If more conservatives stood on principle the movie draw would fall and they would get the message, but no RINO’swill RINO it’s what they do.

To be fair, it’s only that UK reviewer’s claim that it was gay, so we can’t say with absolute certainty that those two characters were gay. And besides, from what I heard, Jyn’s a step up towards being believable compared to Rey, and she actually does require saving several times without it diminishing her character either. I might as well add that the guys aren’t depicted in a negative light either. Certainly, despite what the trailers indicate, there’s actually LESS SJWism than in The Force Awakens, from what I heard at least.

Now, if it was Weitz and/or Whitta who stated that they were gay, THEN we definitely have a problem on our hands.

Someone told me I probably should see it since there’s little to no agendas he picked up in the film (well, aside from MAYBE the Vietcong bit, which was prevalent since the first film), and considering he voted for Donald Trump, I’m pretty sure he’s no RINO.

> If more conservatives stood on principle...

Sure; but “a lefty writer writes a piece projecting gayarama where it isn’t there” isn’t a principle. Avoiding Target and Kellogg are solid stands based on actually poor behavior from those companies.

If the alleged behavior was in the film, or they’d made a big political scene, I’m with you. The guy on Twitter alleging an anti-Trump edit with no actual evidence, or this writer wishing in print for a gay scene, only make me want to avoid that Twit(ter) and this writer.

I haven’t seen the film, but co-workers didn’t report any political crud, and several on this thread indicate the allegation is pure BS. I believe our fellow FReepers more easily than I believe Tom Butler of “Yahoo Movies UK.”

One reason i do not see movies anymore, liberal, gay agenda.

I don’t watch TV and never go to a movie unless it’s something on the order of Hacksaw Ridge. Funny thing about that move, I’m hard of hearing but I don’t think there’s a single profanity spoken in the entire movie. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

I saw the movie on Friday morning. They are not a couple. They are life long friends, both guardians of the last Jedi/Force Temple.

“My boys said it was better than the last. I thought the last one sucked....so I declined their invitation. Will watch it on DVD.”

In many ways it WAS better than The Force Awakens:

1) Set in a time which immediately reminds you of the original Star Wars from 1977. Everything looks right.

2) Although the star is a woman, there’s less “girl-power” nuttiness about her. It’s more of a team film.

3) IT HAS DARTH VADER!

4) Did I mention IT HAS DARTH VADER?

exactly what I thought-just two war buddies. At no point did I pick up on any kind of pro-homo messaging. You are messing up stockpirate. Go see it! This was one of the best Star Wars movies I have ever seen. It was non-stop good. I’ll be watching it again.

Most of them are mediocre, lower quality remakes, or big advertisements for other movies. I don’t bother with many of them at all for that reason.

Liberals in general have an unnatural obsession with perverted sex, sexual deviates, sexual freaks, and sex, sex, sex.

No kidding, and it’s giving me flashbacks to something similar regarding Claire Bennet in the final volume/season of Heroes. In fact, in both instances, neither Alex nor Claire were EVER shown or even implied to be gay in the prior seasons. After this season, I’m done after the stupidity displayed during this season where they pushed left-wing agendas over story and development (I make it a policy that, no matter how bad, I stick with it to the end of the season).

Supergirl got turned to crap since it moved to the CW. It’s funny, even though CBS is far from a conservative outlet, Supergirl when it was on CBS actually came far closer to conservative or at least libertarian than when it got moved to the CW.
