You got that right...I couldn’t help but snicker when he said it. No better way of making the thief feel small than telling him what he stole, you consider worthless.
My guess is that Trump said keep what you stole so when an opportunity comes up to nab something belonging to the ChiComs that he can say something along the lines of, “Hey this stealing stuff is great, you got our drone we got your military satellite. Give us a couple of weeks and we’ll send the empty shell back to you via FedEx. That is if you give us our underwater drone back.”
