Trump won because conservatives showed up. They voted with their gut. They imagined the worst Hillary could do and the worst Trump could do. The damage Hillary would wreak was horrifying, particularly on top of what Obama had accomplished.

I don’t know. He looks a few years younger.

I had to leave FR early on because Trump was my pick in the group of GOP candidates...I love it even more... He is the right man for the Times.

They imagined the worst Hillary could do and the worst Trump could do.

I don't know who THEY are but don't include me bub. I voted FOR Trumps and his stated goals. I happily voted for Mr. Trump ans it had nothing to do with "worst Trump could do" compared to Evilness.. If I could flip you the cyber bird I would. Your analysis is insulting and yo probably had a sever case of TDS, perhaps still do. Quit projecting.

I did not vote for Trump as a “lesser of two evils.” I voted for Trump based on his platform which I fully support.

Anyone even contemplating running for President wouldn’t have done this. It just shows that Trump is the real deal. Somebody who just wants to get in there and fix things.

I’m not going to engage in Trump idolatry.

His feet need to be held to the fire from day one to ensure he follows Constitutional principles. Only following those principles and freeing Americans from these political and economic shackles can save us from the ticking time bomb of national debt and the steady erosion of our individual rights.

I’ll praise him when he does something right and speak out when he does something wrong. He has shown progressive tendencies with the Carrier deal, is on board with a TRILLION dollar infrastructure bill and his daughter is pushing paid maternity leave legislation.
