No such thing as the Christian left.
They are pagans at best - or more realistically satanists.
Kinda like a "moderate" dimocrat. No such thing.
You are categorically -wrong.
As is the author. There have always been unhinged leftist Christians, the most hypocritical people I’ve ever met....
“””No such thing as the Christian left.”’
I was just going to say something like that but you beat me to it................Have a Merry Christmas
A million DITTOS!
Agree. I fought in particular for years with a colleague who insisted he was a “Christian socialist” and I told him using the Bible there was no such thing.
“No such thing as the Christian left.”
Being a Christian doesn’t keep you from being wrong.
Tells you that they aren’t really Christians.
When you are rooted in the Lord and the Truth,
you cannot become “unhinged”.
Yes. CHRISTIAN LEFT is an oxymoron.
They may consider themselves "Christians", but what does Jesus say?
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23)
The four verses which precede these talk about false prophets -- "ravening wolves" in "sheeps clothing". By their fruits we shall know them. Look around: death threats, lies and false accusations, violence, murder, slaughter, mayhem, ...
Their social activism defines them as children of their "father" (Satan).
They are pagans at best - or more realistically satanists.
You likely echo the immediate thought of every conservative reading this.
You'll find that leftist "Christians," if you catechize them even briefly, believe very few of the essential doctrines of Christianity, and NONE of the main ones - the unique deity of Christ as a member of the Godhead, His sinless life, His miraculous works, His resurrection from the dead to an eternal glorified life, His virgin birth, etc. Many so-called professors even doubt his actual existence and are content to play into the "myth" of Jesus. Some are even outright atheists altogether; the rest being practical atheists.
I'd more call them idolaters than pagans. They take the image of the things of God and construct idols in their own images, like the golden calf of newly-liberated Israel.
My thoughts exactly when I read the headline.
