Report: Andrea Bocelli Backs Out of Inauguration Performance

Andrea Bocelli has backed out of performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration after he received backlash from his fans.

Despite the rumors that no celebrities wanted to perform at his inauguration, the president-elect reportedly personally approached the blind Italian singer, who originally accepted. Now, according to Page Six, he has changed his mind.

“Bocelli said there was no way he’d take the gig,” a source told Page Six. “He was ‘getting too much heat’ and he said no.”

Another source told Page Six that it was Trump’s idea for Bocelli to back out.

“Trump suggested to Bocelli he not participate because of the backlash. It’s sad people on the left kept him from performing on a historic day.”

Fans threatened to “Boycott Bocelli” after they heard he was planning to perform at Trump’s inauguration.

That has been happening for quite a few years now already.

Why would it stop? They have been doing that for over a year since he announced his bid for the Presidency, and it hasn’t been limited to just the left either.
_______________

I suspect the magnitude and the amplitude will increase enormously.

That has been been an increasing reality as well. They have become increasingly more emboldened with each of the 8 years of Obama controlling the levers of power.

I do see a retaliatory atmosphere in the short term horizon, as those who are in positions of power exercise their power while they can.

By that I mean I see conservatives will be more likely to lose their jobs if they work for liberal establishments, or managers and they know you supported Trump as a form of payback for that support.

I think Trump should tap some outstanding Americans with talent that aren’t known in Hellywood yet!

Auditions!

I agree. I think that one needs to tread lightly around leftists in power over you, and concerted campaigns to get rid of them in all. A campaign of ridicule will be important for gaining power over them. and there is a lot to ridicule.

The Inauguration festivities are a perfect opportunity to showcase NON celebrities, “THE FORGOTTEN MAN and WOMAN”.

Let them contact states who may be more familiar with up and coming LOCAL talents, aka REAL AMERICANS. The pool of American talent is broad and deep. We don’t need them for entertainment.

What a message that would send to the Elites. AMERICA IS BACK!

I’m not going to hold it against Bocelli. Being blind makes him a vulnerable target especially since he can’t see what is coming at him. I prefer that he stays safe from the violent thugs.

I agree. Especially since Trump convinced him to back out.
