Democrats Can’t Sleep Over Trump Win
Washington Free Beacon ^ | December 22, 2016 | Elizabeth Harrington

“Even after all 50 states have certified their results and Trump officially won in the electoral college, many Democrats—including alumni of the campaign—are still coming to grips with the reality that, one month from today, he will be sitting in the Oval Office,” reported James Hohmann in the Daily 202.

“Many Democrats say that it still feels like a bad dream,” he wrote. “They wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat as the reality of a Trump presidency sinks in a little deeper, as they realize that this is not Groundhog Day and that there are no do-overs.”

Well, before the primary I was very concerned that Trump was a fraud and we were all being conned. After he won, I expected him to move to the center against HRC.

I was wrong. It’s a new day. Yes, I’m ecstatic hitlary lost. But Trump is shaping up to be the best president we have had in 100 years.

It’s a new day. :-)

Children have no experience, so they deal with the world outside of themselves with emotions.

It’s a very effective way of protecting children.

They are easily frightened and angered.

As they get older, they gain experience and wisdom and use these to deal with the world outside of themselves.

At least, they are supposed to.

I see a lot of emotional energy boiling up concerning President Trump.

That is immature and unhealthy.

Look at his past behavior.

What is so frightening to people?

“. . . it hurls random prerecorded insults at them and mocks them.”

Sound like my experience when I have to listen to CNN in an airport terminal.

If you think about it, DJT had to avoid scaring the crossover Dems who put him over the top by not glomming onto/with conservatives. Now he’s appointing them left and right... I can’t wait to wake up to see what he decided to do in my sleep.

I want a portrait of Trump to replace any portrait of Obama ever on any public building.

How about a modern version of a wailing wall?

The wall along our southern border will become their wailing wall. Once built, it will give the Democrats another losing campaign issue. Every Democrat running for national office will vow to tear down the wall if elected. It will take several election cycles before they realize it's a losing issue for them.

“What if GOP voters had nominated another Uni-party squish who wouldn’t upset the status quo, and would talk to illegal immigrants in Spanish about how they would protect them from “hateful rhetoric” from bitter clingers.”

The Witch would be President elect today.

This election was just like a poker game that got down to two completely determined players where each put all of his or her money on the table for one turn of the cards, an election unprecedented since, maybe, the 1860 election. Thank God, we won and they lost. Now it’s great for us and Hell for them, but it could have so easily gone the other way. It was like Gettysburg, Midway, and Yorktown all rolled into one.
