Rare is it that anyone under 35 is there. Sometimes, but rare. I’d say the average age of a patron is easily over 45 anymore.

And restaurant owners keep shooting themselves in the feet by constantly retooling their menus to appeal to a younger crowd.

Yep. It won’t work on the ADHD crowd. The only thing that seems to work are “brew houses”, or pubs.

"Fancy" restaurants have this problem. Anything with structure or formality. The kids are so used to fast-casual, "on the go" type eating. They can't commit to reservations or decorum.
