I had one candidate who I'd made up my mind to hire. Sharp kid. Right out of college. Bright, personable, fit in well with the guys. Lunch was going to be a formality...... until he drained three beers (in an hour), made a pass at the waitress, and was a general boor.

1. I would respect his ability to hold his liquor (presupposing, of course, that he indeed held it).

2. Well, at least he didn't make a pass at the waiter.

3. Boorishness is unpardonable, though.

4. So, whom did you finally hire to be the deacon of your parish?
