U.S. President Barack Obama will deliver a farewell address on Jan. 10 to reflect on his time in office and say thank you to his supporters, he said in an email statement released on Monday.
Obama, noting that the first president of the United States, George Washington, had penned a farewell address in 1796, said he would deliver his speech in his hometown of Chicago.
"I'm thinking about (the remarks) as a chance to say thank you for this amazing journey, to celebrate the ways you've changed this country for the better these past eight years, and to offer some thoughts on where we all go from here," he said.
Republican Donald Trump will be sworn in to office on Jan. 20. During his campaign for the White House, Trump pledged to undo many of Obama's signature policy measures, including his healthcare law.
Obama, who campaigned hard for Trump's Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, has sought to ensure a smooth transition of power despite major policy differences with his successor. He also leaves his party without a clear figurehead as he leaves the White House.

Now that he has been “termed out”, there is just nowhere for him to go that NEEDS any supporters. Since it is no longer advantageous to contact the Current Occupant for any favors or special considerations, the money boys are off to elsewhere, and the need to generate crowds of “enthusiasts” no longer has any public function.
It would be funny if one of this crowd of “Enthusiasts” tried to take a cut at him during his appearance in Chicago.
The man has done more to divide this nation than anyone in history.

Thank God the Obama experiment is almost over. At this point he is little more than a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. But for the NOVELTY of being the first “black” president, he would never have been elected. Thankfully the drive to produce the next “novelty” president (Hillary as the first “woman”) was sufficiently diminished to prevent the sheeple from repeating, and thereby reinforcing, the this disastrous trend.

I thought he had already given his FAREWELL speech the other
day; so I’m not buying he’s giving his FAREWELL FAREWELL
speech. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if he cut in on
President Trump’s Inaugural Address for an hour and a half
FAREWELL SPEECH, REALLY, BUT NOT “REALLY” SPEECH. :O(
