Yup. Sink the boats. Set a precedent, and the invasion will slow dramatically.
In an old apartment building I lived, one tenant would leave cat food out for the stray cats. Before long we had a huge stray cat problem. They were everywhere, breeding like crazy. When she moved away, all the stray cats starved. Better to have not fed the few at first to begin with.
