‘Untapped Energy:’ Trump Promises A $50 Trillion Economic Stimulus
The Daily Caller ^ | September 23, 2016 | Michael Bastasch

Posted on 01/03/2017 8:37:15 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump laid out his energy plan to industry experts Thursday that included policies to unleash $50 trillion from “untapped” oil, natural gas and coal reserves.

Trump said “untapped energy — some $50 trillion in shale energy, oil reserves and natural gas on federal lands, in addition to hundreds of years of coal energy reserves,” according to The Wall Street Journal report on the candidate’s speech at an energy summit in Pittsburgh, Penn.

It’s all part of Trump’s plan to boost lagging energy production on federal lands. Trump said he would open up all federal lands to drilling, mining and even renewable energy — that includes opening more offshore areas to energy production.

Trump also told energy industry executives and insiders he would repel “all unnecessary regulations, and a temporary moratorium on new regulations not compelled by Congress or public safety.”(continued)

Buy Caterpillar stock — lots of it, and invest in industrial steel pipe.

“I’m not a Trump fan...”

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever. We’re not on that news cycle, anymore.

NOW the question is, are you willing to BECOME a Trump fan based on future performance? Because that is really the only answer that matters, now.

SO many lies about Trump during the campaign.
And the left is never going to relinquish their death-grip on a single one of them; they’re committed to going down with that ship.

You?

What if he actually does come through on even 1/3 of what he’s stated he wants to accomplish?

I mean, at that point I’d have to conclude that anybody who hasn’t become a Trump fan just flat ISN’T an American; much less a Conservative American.

Agreed. I would think some of the things that have happened since he won would be enough to make one a fan.

And he’s not even president yet

““If we went full bore we would drive the price down to nothing.”

I’m not sure that’s a bad thing for us. Energy is necessary in order to live. So is air and water... They are both free and so far that’s worked out OK.”

Well, water certainly isn't free. Our summer water bills here in Northern California are $500 for two months, if you have a lawn to water. As for low-cost energy, bring it on, because it will do two things: 1.) Be a boon to bringing jobs back to this country and 2.) It will put all of the OPEC countries into bankruptcy. I like #2 almost as much as #1! Having the "Carpet Clowns" drinking their unused oil to chase down a big gulp of sand is really appealing to me. Apart from Israel, when we no longer need their oil, we can sit back and watch the Muzzies annihilate each other.

Those few are people who just aren’t very smart! Maybe they can “move to Canada” with their “demi-god,” Ted Cruze when he repatriates after loosing his Senate seat.
I understand Edmonton is “nice” this time of year. A little on the cold side, but “nice.”

Israel will have its new, clean, water-producing fracking process up and running soon. They say we’ll be able to produce as much as Saudi Arabia. This will be the beginning of the end for OPEC. Will they even give us membership? No? Well, I guess they won’t mind if we totally f@#$ up prices for them.

True. Lower energy costs reduce manufacturing and shipping costs and thereby make us more competitive in the world marketplace.

"I’m not a Trump fan but this is the wise and obvious thing to do."

I think what separates those of us who argued in favor Trump early and argued in the face of you "I'm not a fan of" people with the egotistical self righteous pious attitude is that we didn't care if we were fans or not, we believed supporting him was, as you say 'wise and obvious.'

I don't care if you're a fan, and I don't care if I'm a fan, personally, of Trump. Supporting him was the wise and obvious thing to do.

God never said He would use people of whom you or I am a fan.

Forgive me if I've misread pious damnation behind faint and arrogant praise. It seems to me Trump's theatrical and intentionally arrogant act, of which he's totally aware and in control, brings out the real, actual and unconscious arrogance and pride of his personal detractors - unconscious arrogance which self-hypnotizes those detractors and is much of why he is beginning to bore us with besting them. If, in this case, 'them' refers to 'you' ... then let the shoe fit.

First off my suggestion since i’ve been in the concrete business for 22 years, BUILD NEW CEMENT PLANTS IN THE USA.

No more waiting for portlant cement from China, especially for Alaska, its paramount to become cement indepenant from China.

America needs cement, steel, asphalt and rubber.

And china has a lock on at leadt two of those. Its time to cut the lock.

Make cement so cheap it builds things on its own. I’m talking about $2.00 a sack.

Bring the cost of a delivered cubic yard of redimix down by 50 to 70%.

Are you serious? I can’t relate to having to pay that much for water. Not doubting you, my FRiend, just astonished that water bills have increased that much.

If we went full bore we would drive the price down to nothing.

Great post and spot on.

Trump must have in place to take over OPECs share in their sales or we would have tremendous collapse of the price that would make the 70's look good.

So is air and water... They are both free and so far that’s worked out OK.

Good, then you need to go set up your own drilling and production company and see just how expensive free can be.

FR has been infested with liberal think and you are part of it.

What other “candidate” could, in a million years, have delivered restoration, recovery and an immediate turn around from impending financial collapse, to a trajectory of HOPE and prosperity, but Trump.

Your complete statement is subjective past tense. I find people doing this on FR a bunch.

Trump and his administration has not delivered on the first campaign promise yet. Let us wait and see what happens. Sure, things are looking promising and I am getting almost excited over it all.

I will not throw the Obama or liberal over used HOPE word out there but instead, just demand that our newly elected President deliver on his promises to the American People that put him in office. Not, set up another regime to back stab and back slide on the middle class that built this country.

AND to PUNISH the traitors that have occupied the White House for the last 8 years. This is a must....... and a promise to the voters that put him in office

The oil and gas industry drives the economy. Be careful about wishing to destroy that industry.
