I think California has the death penalty, so I wondered why he was still "with us". Perhaps because he was not directly involved in the murders?
Wasn’t there a period of time when the death penalty was overturned and lots of death row inmates were given life without parole instead? Then when it was reinstated those inmates kept their life sentences rather than having their death sentences reinstated.
Iirc CA abolished the death penalty in the 70s and death sentences were commuted to life in prison. Those commutations were not reversed when the death penalty was reinstated. Manson’s sentence was one of those commuted, I think.
I’m curious about what happens when he dies. Did he marry that woman who was visiting him? Does he have family who will claim his body? Where will he be buried? He still has followers and his grave could become a sort of shrine to the looneys.
LIBTARD JUDGES
He was convicted and also sentenced to death in 1971. All the sentences were commuted to life in prison when California abolished the death penalty in 1972. Manson is seen in court in 1986, during a parole hearing. He was denied for the sixth time.Jun 24, 2016.
He and the others still in prison still go through periodic parole hearings that cost tax Serfs money. And grief for the survivors of his victims.
Manson wasn’t directly involved in the murders but he did travel to one of the scenes and did harbor the killers.
His death sentence was commuted to life during a brief window when the courts suspended the death penalty. It was considered “cruel and unusual punishment” to put those people BACK on death row.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Meanwhile we have Imam who have encouraged far worse horrors than Charles Manson stirred up and they are not in prison or dead.
